Service agreement
By booking with K.A.Z Carriers, you agree to these terms and conditions. They form the contract between you (the customer) and K.A.Z Carriers (referred to here as "we", "us" or "our"). If you are booking on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to do so.
Service availability
All services are offered subject to driver and vehicle availability, weather and road conditions, and reasonable operational limits. We will let you know quickly if a slot we have offered is no longer possible and will work with you to find an alternative.
Quotes and pricing
Quotes are based on the information you provide at the time of booking — distance, item description, access, dates and times. If the job on the day is materially different from what was quoted (extra stops, heavier or larger items, restricted access, long waits), additional charges may apply. We will always discuss any change with you before it is added to your invoice.
Delivery times
Estimated collection and delivery times are given in good faith based on a normal day on the road. They are not guaranteed unless we have specifically agreed a fixed-time service in writing (for example a flight transfer or court delivery). Where traffic, weather or third-party delays affect a job, we will keep you informed.
Restricted items
We reserve the right to refuse, repack or return any consignment that includes:
- Illegal goods of any kind
- Dangerous goods, hazardous materials or items requiring ADR transport
- Live animals
- Weapons, ammunition or controlled items without correct paperwork
- Cash, jewellery or precious metals (unless specifically agreed and insured separately)
- Perishable items unless we have agreed timings and handling in advance
- Anything not properly disclosed at the time of booking
Customer responsibilities
To help us deliver a smooth job you agree to:
- Provide accurate addresses, contact numbers and access information
- Package goods appropriately for road transport
- Declare high-value, fragile or sensitive items at the time of booking
- Be available (or nominate someone) at the collection and delivery points within the agreed window
- Ensure any goods you ask us to move are legally yours to send
Liability
K.A.Z Carriers holds Goods-in-Transit and Public Liability insurance. Liability for loss or damage is limited to the lower of the insured value of the goods and the value agreed in writing at the time of booking. We are not liable for:
- Damage caused by inadequate packaging that we did not supply
- Indirect or consequential losses (such as lost earnings or missed events)
- Items not declared at the time of booking
- Delays caused by events outside our reasonable control
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
Payment terms
One-off jobs are payable on or before completion, by bank transfer or card. Business accounts may be offered invoiced terms (typically 14 days net) where credit has been agreed in advance. Late payment may attract reasonable interest in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
Cancellations and changes
You can change or cancel a booking free of charge up to the agreed cut-off (usually the evening before). Cancellations after dispatch, or no-shows on the day, may attract a fee that covers the driver's time and the slot we held for you. We will always try to be fair and proportionate.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
